Dr Johannes van Niekerk completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Free State in 2009.
After completing his internship and community service in Mpumalanga he worked as a medical officer in anaesthesia for 2 years before heading back to Bloemfontein where he obtained his Master of Medicine (MMed) with distinction and Fellowship of the College of Anaesthetists of South Africa (FCA(SA)) in 2019.
He has a keen interest in regional anaesthesia and enhanced recovery after surgery.
