Lenmed expands into the North West Province by acquiring the Matlosana Medical Health Services Group (MMHS)
July 2022 – The Lenmed Group will be acquiring 100% of MMHS on 1 October 2022, further transforming the healthcare industry and strengthening the provision of superior and personalized care to the communities of the North West Province.
MMHS consists of two acute hospitals, Wilmed Park Hospital (185 beds) and Sunningdale Hospital (33 beds), Daleside Day Hospital (20 beds) and Parkmed Neuro Clinic, a mental health facility (50 beds), all situated in Klerksdorp.
The Group is excited to be expanding its footprint and looks forward to the opportunity to engage and work with the local medical fraternity to bring Lenmed’s compassionate and warm philosophy of healthcare to the communities of the North West province.

During 2022, the Group’s Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centre became the first facility in Africa to be accredited by the American College of Cardiology.
